EPA Region 8 intends to award a single-source firm-fixed-price purchase order to Awareness Technology, Inc. for one new ChemWell 2910 automated ELISA analyzer with OEM installation/training, a one-year on-site service contract, and a two-year extended warranty, delivered to the EPA Region 8 Laboratory in Lakewood, CO. EPA has used the ChemWell platform for EPA Method 546 cyanotoxin analyses since 2016 with ABRAXIS ELISA kits, and market research found no other source able to furnish a new ChemWell 2910 with manufacturer-performed installation, service, and warranty. A different platform would require re-validation estimated at six months and approximately $20,000 in test kits. Firms that can furnish a new ChemWell 2910 with Awareness Technology performed or authorized installation, service, and extended warranty may submit a capability statement identifying their UEI and relationship to Awareness Technology. Responses proposing a different instrument will not be considered, and the decision whether to compete this requirement is solely at the Government’s discretion.
