This is a Synopsis for Commercial services in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) subpart 12.6 and subpart 5.207. This notice does not in itself represent the issuance of a formal request for proposal/quote and is not intended to be taken as such. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Procurement, Acquisition and Logistics (OPAL), Technology Acquisition Center (TAC), located at 23 Christopher Way, Eatontown, NJ 07724 intends to award a firm-fixed-price modification to Contract Number VA118-17-C-1535 to provide continued services issued on a sole source basis for the Fee Basis Claims System (FBCS) software, maintenance and technical support from Document Storage Systems, Inc. (DSS), 12575 US Highway 1, Suite 200, Juno Beach, Florida 33408-2478. The Government hereby extends the period of performance 9-months starting January 1, 2020, followed by two 3-month option periods. The Statutory Authority for this effort falls under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 entitled, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 541519. This notification shall close on December 27, 2019. The anticipated award date is December 30, 2019.
