In addition, using the same scopes provides similar characteristics across the equipment such as field of vision. Buying any other scope other than Olympus would bring in variation factors. This could mean that the lab is not able to provide consistent results for patient care. If Olympus scopes are not procured, then a lab technician has to conduct extra correlation work, again impeding patients care as a technician would have to switch back and forth between instruments.
