The Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, equipment, supervision, As-Built Documentation, and all other related information for Project 515-20-101, Renovate Common Areas, Various Buildings, at the VA Medical Center in Battle Creek, Michigan. The project will improve conditions in several of the dated outpatient care buildings. Work to include replacement of worn ceilings, flooring and wall coverings in these heavy traffic Veteran centric areas. Existing doors and frames will be replaced with energy efficient units and will also receive new hardware with integrated security features. Additionally, they will receive improved handrails to assist the aging veteran population and wayfinding will be improved through new signage. Buildings included are 2 (all floors), 6 (entry way), 8 (all floors), 9 (all floors),10 (first floor),11 (first floor), 12 (all floors). An additional safety concern will be addressed through entrance vestibules at buildings 5, 6, 13, 14 and 82 as it will eliminate the concern with falling ice. The contractor will receive a total of 380 days to complete the work.
