The Marion VA Medical Center has identified a need for additional storage space for COVID-19 emergency supplies. To meet this need, a new building will be constructed south of Building 16, which is the existing warehouse. The new building, referred to as the Warehouse Addition, will be a standalone pre-engineered metal building (PEMB). It will be connected to the existing warehouse with a corridor to allow travel between Building 16 and the Warehouse Addition. The Warehouse Addition should be considered a turnkey solution for the Government’s need. The Warehouse Addition will have the following attributes: ? 4,800 gross square feet (minimum) to be used as a warehouse, not including connecting corridor ? Plan dimensions of approximately 120-ft by 40-ft to fit in between Building 16 and South Periphery Road ? Type IIB Construction – structural elements of walls and roof to be steel ? Interior clear height of 15’-0” minimum ? Connecting corridor to allow for personnel and forklift travel to Building 16 (approximately 120 net square feet) ? Large roll-up door and short driveway on south side to connect to South Periphery Road ? Fire sprinklers ? HVAC system ? Electricity
