SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) National Acquisition Center is issuing this SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE (SSN) as a means of conducting market research to identify Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and/or Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) with the capability to supply gravity flow racks to the VA. Your response to this SSN will assist the government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. Companies that are not considered a small business under NAICS 333922 / PSC 3990 are not eligible to submit a response to this SSN. The government will evaluate market information to ascertain potential market capacity to provide the required equipment consistent with the specifications as detailed below: BRAND NAME OR EQUAL TO: SCHAEFER GRAVITY FLOW RACK - 75-1/2X57X78-3/8 MANUFACTURER: SCHAEFER MANUFACTURER PART NO.: KDRAU7557S SCHAEFER Gravity Flow Rack - 75-1/2x57x78-3/8" - Add-On Unit. For faster and more efficient stock rotation and first-in, first-out inventory control, choose these flexible SCHAEFER Gravity Flow Racks. Stores virtually any size container and load. Feature adjustable flow rack levels and roller track widths. 1"Wx1.1" dia. rollers with steel wheel axles spaced on 1.1" centers. 12 rollers and 6 dividers per level. Shelf capacity based on evenly distributed loads. Frames are bolted together; front and rear beams are bolted while the middle supports drop in without nuts or bolts. Main cross beams and front and rear supports are painted blue; all other frame and level components are galvanized. Unassembled includes all frame parts and track hardware. This SSN does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ)/Invitation for Bid (IFB)/Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFQ, IFB or RFP in the future. This notice does not commit the VA to contract for any supply or service. Furthermore, the VA is not seeking quotes, bids or proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals in response to this SSN. There is no solicitation available at this time. The VA will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this SSN. Submittals will not be returned to the responder. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. NAICS CODE AND SIZE STANDARD: The current NAICS code is 333922 Conveyor and Conveying Equipment Manufacturing with a small business size standard of 500 employees. INFORMATION SOUGHT: Interested, qualified SDVOSB s and/or VOSB s shall submit responses to this SSN to include the technical manufacturer specifications/literature of the equipment believed to be brand name or equal to the SCHAEFER KDRAU7557S. The government will not return any information submitted in response to this notice.
