PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The VA National Acquisition Center intends to issue Request for Proposal (RFP) 36E79720R0001 for an unrestrictive procurement for Metformin HCL Tablets, for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Department of Defense (DOD), Bureau of Prisons (BOP), and Indian Health Service (IHS). Award will be made in the aggregate for Group 1 (line items 1, 2a or 2b, 3, 4a or 4b, 5, and 6a or 6b); and Group 2, (line items 1, 2, and 3). The Government may award two separate contracts for Group 1 and Group 2, or one contract for both groups to the responsible offeror who will be able to provide an uninterrupted source of supply for the contracted items. The contract period will be for one year plus four pre-priced one-year option periods. Contract Group 1-line items 1-6 will be distributed through the VA s Pharmaceutical Prime Vendor Program. Contract Group 2-line items 1- 4 are bulk line items and will be shipped by the awarded contractor to the VA s Pharmaceutical Repackaging Contractor. Desired size for Group 2-line items 1- 4 is at least 100,000 capsules. Offerors must state the exact name (name that appears on label) by which the drug will be supplied and have a unique NDC number. Solicitation # 36E79720R0001will be electronically issued in commercial item format in accordance with FAR Part 12 on or about February 18, 2020, with a tentative closing date of March 2, 2020.
