This solicitation is hereby cancelled in it's entirety as of 1-31-2022. INTRODUCTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting proposals and subsequently awarding a single, Firm-Fixed-Price contract using DESIGN-BUILD selection procedures for PET/MR Site Support Preparation Project at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center (JJP-VA) in Bronx, New York. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project will provide site support for the renovation of Room 2A-329, Building. 100 into a fully functional PET MR Slice CT. The area of renovation is approximately 800 square feet. Work will include but not limited to: Demolition of room 2A-329 Simulator and installing a PET MR (CT) System and all associated utilities and appurtenances and associated areas. (It is the intent of the JJP-VA to sustain the existing manufacturer of these items.) Work may include updating the appearance of the Clinic Center to the Planetree environment to include the modification of the existing 2A support areas, (i.e. examination rooms; control rooms and medical storage areas. This clinical support is design/build and it will modify and/or replace of all utility systems (lighting, electrical, telecommunications, fire alarm, ceiling ,wall and floor finishes). Modification and/or replacement to our mechanical (HVAC), plumbing systems and building exterior to accommodate the revised upgrade including a new room temperature control system directed towards our existing Johnson Controls MetaSys building management. It is important that construction phases allow the user services to maintain operations during construction in the surrounding areas. More information, to include specifications and drawings, will be available when the solicitation is issued. ADMINISTRATIVE: The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 15, 19, and 36 and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Proposals received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable NAICS code is 236220 with a size standard of $39.5 Million. The solicitation will be issued on or about September 30, 2020. The period of performance is approximately 240 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The Magnitude of Construction is expected to be between $2,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00.
