Page 1 of 1 INTRODUCTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting bids and subsequently awarding a single, Firm-Fixed-Price contract using DESIGN-BUILD selection procedures for the design and construction of a Chest X-Ray System at the Bronx VA Medical Center (VAMC) located at 130 W Kingsbridge Road Bronx, NY 10468. This project will provide design build services (i.e. site support) for the renovation of our existing Chest X-Ray system currently located in Area 2D-14; Bldg. 100. The area of renovation is approximately 600 square feet. Work will include but not limited to: Site Prep Replacement of an existing GE Definium 8000 with SIEMENS Mulpix Fusion Max and all associated utilities and appurtenances and associated areas. (It is the intent of the JJP-VA to sustain the existing manufacturer of these items.) Work may include updating the appearance of the Clinic Center to the Planetree environment to include the modification of the existing 2D-03/2D-03A support areas, (i.e. examination rooms; control rooms and medical storage areas. ADMINISTRATIVE: The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 15, 19, and 36 and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Offers received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable NAICS code is 236220 with a size standard of $39.5 million. The solicitation will be issued on or about September 15, 2020. The period of performance is approximately 240 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. This notice is NOT a request for competitive offers. The Magnitude of Construction is expected to be between $500,000 and $1,000,000. All questions must be submitted in writing to the issuing office via email to samantha.mihaila@va.gov.
