INTRODUCTION The Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting quotations and subsequently issuing one (1) or more Firm-Fixed-Price purchase orders for Digital Thermometers for the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration, Procurement and Logistics Medical Supply Program Office. Acquisition of these items is a result of the COVID19 Pandemic. DESCRIPTION Quotes will be requested for brand name or equal items listed below: Contract Line Item Number Item Description Qty 0001 Digital Thermometer Medline MDS9553 or Equivalent 250,000 SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS/MANUFACTURERS CUTSHEETS The contractor will be required to include manufacturer cut-sheets/specifications for items quoted. **See attached STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW) ADMINISTRATIVE The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 12 and 13. The solicitation will be advertised as unrestricted. The applicable NAICS code is 339112. The solicitation will be issued on or about May 9, 2020 for approximately one hundred and forty five (145) calendar days. Quoters will be required to submit their quotes electronically via email. The solicitation will include the requirement that responders provide an authorized distributor letter that states the responder is an authorized dealer/distributor of the OEM for the items being procured such that all product warranties and service and/or preventative maintenance agreements transfer to the VA and will be honored by the OEM or guarantees that the OEM gives authorization to the responder to fulfill all warranty, service, and/or preventative maintenance obligations for the equipment. Vendors who are unable to supply proof of authorized dealer or distributorship will not be considered. This notice is not a request for quote. Questions of a technical nature will not be answered as part of this notice; however, all general questions may be submitted in writing to the issuing office via email at nicholas.kyriakidis@va.gov. Telephone calls will not be accepted.
