The Department of Veterans Affairs, National Cemetery Administration (NCA) is conducting a market survey for interested vendors capable of providing “Fire Alarm Monitoring,” at the Sarasota National Cemetery located at 9810 State Rd 72, Sarasota, FL 34241. The contractor shall be responsible for furnishing all parts, materials, labor, transportation, equipment, and tools necessary to provide Fire Alarm System Monitoring, including annual report, annual inspection and testing, and repair in accordance with the Florida Fire Prevention Code and NFPA 72. The annual system record of inspection and testing report will include but is not limited to: Property Information Testing and Monitoring Information Description of System or Service Notifications made Prior to Service Testing Results Notifications That Testing is Complete System Restored to Normal Operations Inspector Certification Defects or Malfunctions not Corrected at Conclusion of System Inspection Inspection Service to be completed: Annual Fire Alarm Control Panel Annual Test of Batteries Annual Fire Alarm Aux Control Panel Annual Power Expander Panel Test Annual Pull Station Test Annual Smoke Detector Test Annual Duct Detector Test Annual Heat Detector Test Annual Horn/Strobe Test Annual Strobe Test Total Fire Monitoring Equipment/Sensors/Location: (3) - Fire Alarm Control Panel – Administration Building, Maintenance Building, Pump House (10) - Batteries - Administration Building, Maintenance Building, Pump House (2) - Fire Alarm Control Aux Panel - Administration Building, Maintenance (2) - Power Expander Panel - Administration Building, Maintenance (14) - Pull Station - Administration Building, Maintenance Building, Pump House (45) - Smoke Detector - Administration Building, Maintenance Building, Pump House (2) - Duct Detector - Administration Building, Maintenance (2) - Heat Detector - Administration Building, Maintenance (12) - Horn/Strobe - Administration Building, Maintenance Building, Pump House (22) - Strobe- Administration Building, Maintenance Building, Pump House Repair services will be on an as need basis. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (HUBZone, 8(a), small, small disadvantage, veteran owned small business (VOSB), service-disabled veteran owned small business (SDVOSB), or large business) relative to: NAICS 561621, (Security Systems Services (except Locksmiths)), with size standards of $25 Million. Note that if VA’s pending market research establishes that two or more SDVOSB or VOSB, who are certified on SBA’s VetCert, Veteran Small Business Certification (sba.gov), can perform the project at a fair and reasonable price, VA will set aside the underlying solicitation per 38 U.S.C. §8127. Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this Sources Sought Synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published on SAM.gov and/or GSA eBuy. Responses to this Sources Sought Synopsis are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. This notice is neither a request for competitive proposal nor solicitation of offerors. This notice is to assist the NCA in determining sources only and a solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from this response. Responses to this Sources Sought Synopsis is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. Information received as a result of this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice does not represent a commitment by the Government to pay for costs incurred in the preparation and submission of information or any other costs incurred as a response to this announcement.
