Responses to this Sources Sought will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. All information received in response to this Sources Sought Notice that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. This is NOT a solicitation announcement. Responses to this notice are not offers or quotes and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this Sources Sought Notice. After review of the responses to this Sources Sought, a solicitation announcement may be published. Responses to this Sources Sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses for a solicitation announcement. The submission of capabilities for planning purposes and other market information is highly encouraged and allowed under this Sources Sought in Accordance With (IAW) FAR Part 15.201(e). The intent is to award a contract for the services described below. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT The VA National Cemetery Administration (NCA) is seeking interested sources that can provide Grounds Maintenance services for the location provided below. Please note that the required services are not finalized and are subject to change based on the responses to this Source Sought. The information within this Sources Sought are intended to be descriptive, not restrictive, and to indicate the quality of the services that will be satisfactory. Requirement Name: Grounds Maintenance Service with Cemetery Specific Aspects Location(s): Crown Hill National Cemetery 700 West 38th Street Indianapolis, IN 46208 https://www.cem.va.gov/cems/nchp/CrownHill.asp NAICS Code: 561730 Landscaping Services Size Standard: $8.0 Million Sources Sought Notice SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE / REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) 36C78622Q0063 Crown Hill National Cemetery Grounds Maintenance with Cemetery Specific Aspects A standardized Performance Work Statement (PWS) may be developed which includes, but is not limited to the following: Grounds/Turfgrass Maintenance of approximately 15 acres columbarium section, 2.2 acres Historic section and .022-acre Confederate Plot to include but not limited to; mowing, trimming, edging, aerification, fertilization, pre and postemergence herbicide application and overseeding. Trimming of approximately 2,095 headstones. Pesticide application and general pest control - gophers, voles, moles etc. Trash and debris removal including floral pick-up. Power washing - or other effective means of cleaning buildings/structures/signage. Headstone Raise and Re-alignment (subject to Davis-Bacon Act wages). Headstone Fine Tune Alignment (subject to Davis-Bacon Act wages). Headstone cleaning of approximately 2,095 headstones twice a year must be done in preparation for and prior to Memorial Day and Veterans day. Sunken grave/turf repair, replacement, etc. Irrigation start up and shut down and maintenance Interment shelter daily set-up and cleaning Transport urn and floral arrangement and place urn in columbarium Receive and install new and subsequent inscribed niche covers Support services for holiday and weekend interments Support services for holidays and special events Road cleaning, snow removal and ice melt application Tree pruning, tree removal and stump removal RESPONSE If you are interested and are capable of meeting the requirements listed above, please provide the requested information indicated below.
