Question 1: I am hoping to find out if the subject effort is a new requirement or a follow-on to an existing contract? If the latter, can I please find out the incumbent contractor's name and contract number? Answer 1: Although some janitorial services on this contract were provided as part of a grounds maintenance contract, overall, it is a new requirement. The contract that contained some CLINs from this new requirement was VA786-17-C-0011, awarded to Byrd Enterprises Unlimited. Question 2:Â What is the size of the area to be cleaned at each site (sq. ft.)? Answer 2: Public restrooms vary in size and a site visit is encouraged for specific measurements. The government encourages a site visit to assess the specific square footage. Question 3: Could you confirm that Fort Harrison N.C. is the only location requiring full janitorial service twice a week in Admin. and Maintenance building in addition to public restrooms. Answer 3: CLINs 001/002/003/004/005/006 are Tuesday and Thursday cleaning requirements. They include Fort Harrison Lodge; all six locations of public restrooms are specified in section A.2 Statement of Work (SOW). Question 4: Could you provide details regarding "1 waste receptacle"? Does this mean two public restrooms share one trash receptacle at each location? OR does it mean empty 2 waste receptacles in both restrooms once a week? Answer 4: The waste receptacles specified in section A.2 of the SOW are separate from the waste receptacles located in each public restroom. Each waste receptacle is located near the lodges and main entrances of all six National Cemeteries (Sect A.2 line 10). Question 5: Could you provide a dispenser type for each location for all paper products, hand soap and sanitizer. Answer 5: Each site varies in dispenser size and capacity relevant to the sizes of the public restrooms. A site visit is encouraged for specific sizes and capacities. The National Cemetery reserves the right to change or upgrade dispensers. (Sect A.2 line 11) Question 6: Is the government providing a janitorial closet for contractor's use? If yes, will it be available at all locations? Answer 6: The government is not supplying a janitorial closet for any of the six locations.
