Questions and answer Question 1. We are interested in bidding the Sarasota National Cemetery Expansion but will need additional time to locate and coordinate with vendors/subcontractors to provide a bid. Is it possible to get a 1-month extension on the due date, maybe 10/21? Answer 1. NCA does not have the option to extend this IFB unless a substantial/detrimental technical/design issue is discovered. Question2. On A122 Shows Detail 5 Bench F3 to be 8 Ft. and Detail 6 Bench F4 to be 6 Ft. on A200 it shows the Bench Coordinates Table and the Columbarium Court where Benches are located. What notation lets us know which are 8 Ft. Benches and which are 6 Ft. Benches? Answer2. Benches indicated on A-200 are each labelled F4.  F3 benches are labelled on the Committal Service Shelter s furniture plan, A-102. Question3. On Drawing A200 the Bench Coordinates Table lists 64 Benches, does the list include existing Benches or are the 64 Benches to be all new Benches? Answer3. All F4 benches indicated on A200 are new. The Table indicates slab corner layout points adjacent to the benches. However, 64 is not an accurate takeoff. Bid reading time is going to be via Team call Number +1 872-701-0185, Pin Number 517508492# on September 23rd, 2022 at 10:00 am EST. All submission dates other than mentioned in this amendment, clauses, Prevision and required documents remains unchanged.

PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The Department of Veterans Affairs, National Cemetery Administration intends to issue a solicitation entitled, Gravesite Expansion Project _ 931CM3004 at the Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Rd 72 Sarasota FL 34241, on or about August 19th, 2022, unless additional notice is given, or this notice is modified or cancelled, the full solicitation, specifications and drawings will be posted on Contract Opportunities at beta.sam.gov. The acquisition type for this solicitation will be Invitation for Bid (IFB). This is a continuation of IFB 36C78622B0012 Originally Published on 5/6/2022. Per VAAR 836.204, h (1) Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects, the construction magnitude for this requirement is between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000. The NAICS is 237990 Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction and the business size standard is $30 Million. This procurement is 100% Set-Aside for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns. Only verified SDVOSB firms are eligible to submit an offer or receive an award of a VA contract that is set-aside for SDVOSB in accordance with VAAR Part 819. A non-verified vendor that submits a bid or proposal will be rejected as non-responsive.
