The National Cemetery Administration intends to issue an Invitation for Bid to expand columbarium burial capacity at Leavenworth National Cemetery in Leavenworth, Kansas to ensure continued burial options for the current veteran population. The scope of the project includes the construction of Columbarium Plaza 2 which consists of 4 double-sided and 2 single sided columbarium walls, consisting of 1,720 niches. Work includes but is not limited to: demolition, site preparation, erosion control, excavation, backfilling, grading, foundations, footing, columbaria, irrigation, landscaping, flower watering stations, signage storm drainage, utilities, road pavement, curbs, and certain other items and specific tasks as further defined by detailed design specifications and drawings.
