A new addition to the first floor of the existing Main Building (Building 1), to be located on the front part of the building (North side), extending the building towards E 38th Street on one side, and towards the West on the other, going all the way to the current entry vestibule. A portion of the existing building, which connects to the proposed expansion, will be remodeled as part of this project. This portion of the existing building to be remodeled, is mainly occupied by the White Clinic, Women’s Health, and Cardiology. The proposed project will add necessary new clinical space, and will also renovate existing clinical space, so that the overall effect will be an expanded Primary Care Clinic, integrated as one continuous, cohesive unit, once the project is complete. In addition to what’s indicated above, the project also includes the construction of a Partial Basement, to house mechanical equipment and utility closets. The Project also includes the reconfiguration of outdoor areas impacted by the building expansion, such as the existing parking lot right in front of the expansion, the vehicular circulation and drop-off area in front of the building, sidewalks, curbs, and green areas, among others.
