Answer 2: Per the terms of the RFQ this is an SDVOSB Set-Aside; Brand Name Only. Avid components have been removed from the line items. Vendors must provide Letters of Authorization for all proposed solutions. Question 3: As (Vendor name omitted) is not an authorized reseller for Avid Media, therefore we will not be sending a formal response and will No Bid Notice ID 36C77624Q00236. Answer 3: All Avid Line Items are removed. Vendors must still provide Letters of Authorization for all components from the Original Equipment Manufacturer. This is to meet the regulations on Grey Market Items.

PRESOLICITATION NOTICE RFQ #36C77624Q0236 Avid Media Composer Workstation Upgrades Tuesday, May 28, 2024 The VHA Institute of Learning, Education, and Development (ILEAD) Production and Delivery Division maintains an Avid Media Central non-linear video editing system located at the video facility in St. Louis, Missouri. The Avid system includes six Media Composer workstations, Production Management, Media Asset Management, and Nexis shared storage. ILEAD intends to purchase and install four new HP Z8 G5 Avid Media Composer edit workstations to replace four existing Avid workstations. All Media Composer workstation hardware and software configurations must be vetted and approved by Avid for use with the VA-owned Media Central system. The VA will transfer the Media Composer software licenses from the existing workstations to these new workstations. This is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set-Aside. ITEM This notice serves as the synopsis of the proposed contract action in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.204 and FAR 5.201. The solicitation will be issued as Request for Quotes (RFQ) set-aside 100% for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned (SDVOSB) concerns conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13. The formal request for quotes (RFQ) will be posted to Contract Opportunities on/about Tuesday, May 28, 2024 and quotes will be due on June 3, 2024 at 3:00 PM (Eastern). To submit a quote in response to this notice, please follow the directions in the RFQ that can be found through Contract Opportunities at the RFQ number identified above.
