The National Veterans Wheelchair Games (NVWG) represents the largest annual wheelchair sports event in the world and will take place over a period of eight (8) days in the host location. Participation in the NVWG is open to Veterans with spinal cord injuries and other physical disabilities that require the use of a wheelchair for competitive sports. The National Veterans Golden Age Games (NVGAG) serves Veterans ages 55 years and older. Through its Fitness for Life motto, the NVGAG offers sports competitions and health education sessions to demonstrate the value that sports, wellness and fitness provide to assist senior Veterans live an active and healthy lifestyle. The NVWG and NVGAG are held in new communities each year. Portability of all the equipment is necessary for the program success and a positive Veteran experience. Both offer competitive events exposing Veterans to sport and recreation opportunities across the United States.
