INTRODUCTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting bids and subsequently awarding a single Firm-Fixed-Price contract for Project 675-100 Expand Primary Care East (Minor) Construction Orlando VA Medical Center (VAMC) Lake Nona campus located at 13800 Veterans Way, Orlando, FL. 32827. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Orlando VAMC Lake Nona campus is seeking a general contractor to furnish all labor, tools, material, equipment, and supervision to expand the 3rd and 4th floor (vertical expansion) east side clinical space (building 1) at the Lake Nona Campus to address an increase in primary care workload. Approximately 13,786 square feet of clinical space will be constructed, and 3,861 square feet of existing space will be renovated. The 3rd and 4th floor interstitials will also be expanded to match the new clinical space footprint along with mechanical penthouse above at the Orlando VAMC Lake Nona campus. ADMINISTRATIVE: The solicitation will be issued as a Invitation for Bid (IFB) conducted in accordance with FAR Part 14 and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Offers received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 with a size standard of $45 million. The solicitation is anticipated to be issued in late May 2024. The period of performance is approximately 720 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. In accordance with VAAR 836.204, the magnitude of construction is between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000. This notice is not a request for competitive offers.
