Page 1 of 1 INTRODUCTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting bids and subsequently awarding a single Firm-Fixed-Price contract for the Design-Bid-Build Expanded Specialty Treatment (Minor) Construction project at the James A. Haley VA Medical Center (VAMC) located at 13000 Bruce B. Downs Boulevard, Tampa, FL 33612. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The James A. Haley VAMC is seeking a general contractor to provide all necessary equipment, labor, materials, specialty services, supervision, and tools to complete the Specialty Treatment Expansion. Work includes architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, interior designs, demolition, and asbestos abatement. All work shall be completed in accordance with the specifications and drawings, which will be provided with the solicitation. ADMINISTRATIVE: The solicitation will be issued as a Invitation for Bid (IFB) conducted in accordance with FAR Part 14 and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Offers received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 with a size standard of $45 million. The solicitation will be issued in early August of 2023. The period of performance is approximately 550 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. In accordance with VAAR 836.204, the magnitude of construction is between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000. This notice is not a request for competitive offers.
