Page 1 of 1 INTRODUCTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting bids and subsequently awarding a single Firm-Fixed-Price contract for the Design-Bid-Build EHRM Training and Administrative Support Space Construction project at the VA Black Hills Healthcare System (VABHHCS) located at 113 Comanche Road, Fort Meade, SD 57741. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The VA Black Hills Healthcare System is seeking a general contractor to furnish all labor, tools, material, equipment, and supervision to renovate buildings 145, 148, 113, 146, 137, 53, 50, T296, 89, 90, T171, 88, 40, 46, 85 and throughout campus site. Work includes general construction, alterations, necessary removal of existing structures and construction, millwork, permanently mounted equipment, interior finishes, hazardous material abatement and certain other items. Installation of new split system air conditioning units. Modifications to existing DDC controls. Setup, programming, and adjustment of new & modified systems. Provide new power connections for new mechanical equipment. Provide new power connections for MDF/IDF rack locations. Provide new UPS units for MDF/IDF locations. ADMINISTRATIVE: The solicitation will be issued as a Invitation for Bid (IFB) conducted in accordance with FAR Part 14 and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Offers received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 with a size standard of $39.5 million. The solicitation will be issued in October of 2022. The period of performance is approximately 365 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. In accordance with VAAR 836.204, the magnitude of construction is between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000. This notice is not a request for competitive offers.
