INTRODUCTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting bids and subsequently awarding a single Firm-Fixed-Price contract for the Design-Bid-Build EHRM Training and Admin Support Space Construction project at the Wichita VA Medical Center (VAMC) located at 5500 East Kellogg Avenue, Wichita, Kansas 67218. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Wichita VAMC is seeking a general contractor to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, qualified supervision, and other items designated in this contract in accordance with the specifications and drawings to complete Project # 589A7-21-702: EHRM Training and Admin Support Space at the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center. The project includes renovations of approximately 12,000 square feet on the ground level of Building 61. ADMINISTRATIVE: The solicitation will be issued as an Invitation for Bid (IFB) conducted in accordance with FAR Part 14 and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside. Offers received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 with a size standard of $39.5 million. The solicitation will be issued in late May to early June of 2022. The period of performance is approximately 365 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. In accordance with VAAR 836.204, the magnitude of construction is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. This notice is not a request for competitive offers.
