Page 1 of 1 INTRODUCTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting bids and subsequently awarding a single Firm-Fixed-Price contract for the Design-Bid-Build Raze Building 8&9 Construct New Research Building (Minor) Construction project at the Miami VA Medical Center (VAMC) located at 1201 NW 16th Street, Miami, FL 33125. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Project includes the demolition of Buildings 8&9 and the construction of a new Research Building attached to Building 7. It also includes Site Work, General Construction, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing work, which will result in a new research facility. ADMINISTRATIVE: The solicitation will be issued as a Invitation for Bid (IFB) conducted in accordance with FAR Part 14 and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Offers received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 with a size standard of $39.5 million. The solicitation will be issued in February of 2022. The period of performance is approximately 545 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. In accordance with VAAR 836.204, the magnitude of construction is between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000. This notice is not a request for competitive offers.
