PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The contractor shall furnish all tools, materials, equipment and labor necessary for completion of Renovate Community Living Center at the Amarillo Veterans Affairs Health Care System (AVAHCS), in accordance with the drawings and specifications. Work will include deck to deck demolition and complete rebuild of approximately 5,940 square feet to house a new 10 bed Hospice Unit. Work will also include the construction of a new 1,080 square foot Chapel. Work includes minor demolition, new construction of walls, ceilings and floors, general construction, mechanical, electrical and plumbing work, controls, telecom and certain other items to create a complete and usable space. ADMINISTRATIVE: The solicitation will be issued as a “Invitation for Bid” (IFB) conducted in accordance with FAR Part 14 and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Offers received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 with a size standard of $39.5 million. The solicitation will be issued on or around December 17, 2021. The period of performance is approximately 395 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. In accordance with VAAR 836.204, the magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. This notice is not a request for competitive offers.
