The expanded site shall have new parking areas, one support building (6,912 SF), and meet the physical security design requirements. This project includes all necessary features and items of work required so that the government shall have a complete usable and functional site and facilities. Work includes civil, site development, architectural, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, plumbing and structural trades in accordance with the specifications, drawings, and scope of work.

Page 1 of 1 INTRODUCTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting bids and subsequently awarding a single Firm-Fixed-Price contract for the Design-Bid-Build Expand Medical Center (Minor) Construction project at the Saginaw VA Medical Center (VAMC) located at 1500 Weiss Street, Saginaw, MI 48602. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Project involves the expansion of the Saginaw VAMC. The new expanded site shall have new parking areas, one support building (6,912 SF), and meet the physical security design requirements. The total completed design shall include all necessary features and items of work required so that the government shall have a complete usable and functional site and facilities. Work includes civil, site development, architectural, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, plumbing and structural trades. ADMINISTRATIVE: The solicitation will be issued as a Invitation for Bid (IFB) conducted in accordance with FAR Part 14 and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Offers received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 with a size standard of $39.5 million. The solicitation will be issued in late November of 2021. The period of performance is approximately 489 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. In accordance with VAAR 836.204, the magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. This notice is not a request for competitive offers.
