Page 1 of 1 INTRODUCTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting proposals and subsequently awarding a single Firm-Fixed-Price contract for the for the Design-Build VISN 21 EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades project at the Reno VA Medical Center (VAMC) located at 975 Kirman Ave., Reno, NV 89502. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools and equipment, and services necessary for design, pre-construction, construction, and closeout of the project. This project includes either the relocation or remodel of approximately 28 telecommunications rooms (TRs) and 1 data center to bring them up to the EHRM IT standards, while IT services remain operational. The contractor shall also provide a turn-key project for these rooms in accordance with VA Office of Information and Technology (OIT) and EHRM infrastructure standards. ADMINISTRATIVE: The solicitation will be issued as a Request For Proposal (RFP) conducted in accordance with FAR Part 36.3 Two-Phase Design-Build Selection Procedures and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Offers received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 with a size standard of $39.5 million. The solicitation will be issued in mid to late May of 2021. The period of performance is approximately 540 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. In accordance with VAAR 836.204, the magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. This notice is not a request for competitive offers.
