The Minneapolis VA Healthcare System is conducting a sources-sought market research effort for recurring off-site laundry services for Fisher House 1 & 2; no contract award will result from this announcement. The contractor would pick up soiled linens and deliver clean, processed, and packaged hotel-quality linens for 28 bedrooms/bathrooms/suites, including towels, sheets, pillowcases, duvet covers/inserts, comforters, blankets, pillows, bathmats, and shower curtains, in compliance with Association for Linen Management and infection-prevention standards. Service would occur two days per week, with pickup between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm, Monday pickup delivered Thursday and Thursday pickup delivered Monday, excluding federal holidays; pickup/delivery is at the covered porch on the right side of Fisher House II (Building 75), 5045 East 54th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55417, with laundering performed at the contractor’s facility. Contractors must provide labor, supervision, equipment, supplies, vehicles, carts, inventory control, reporting, and clean/soiled separation, and must replace items lost or damaged through contractor negligence. A phase-out plan covering up to 90 days of uninterrupted service and cooperation with a successor contractor would be required.
