The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration NCO 23 requires an equipment maintenance service contract for NCO 23's Steris medical equipment to support all facilities across NCO 23. In accordance with FAR 7.107-5, the VA intends to consolidate equipment maintenance services for Steris medical equipment requirements. The consolidation of equipment maintenance services for Steris medical equipment requirements identified is in the best interest of the Government. This consolidation meets the requirements of FAR 7.107 and the benefits of the consolidated acquisition would exceed the benefits that would be derived from an alternative approach. Therefore, the VA found that consolidation is necessary and justified and this notice shall be available for seven days prior to the release of the Request for Quote (RFQ) for this requirement.
