General Intention: Contractor shall provide all supervision, tools, labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and incidentals necessary for the following construction services in the Education Room... General Intention: Contractor shall provide all supervision, tools, labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and incidentals necessary for the following construction services in the Education Room #108, located in Building 145 (Administrative) in the Fort Meade (SD) Campus of the Black Hills Health care System (BHHCS). This work will be completed based on the existing conditions presented in the attached photographs as clarified with the statements in this Scope of Work (SOW). a. Install / fabricate an acoustical tile (USG 2310 Mineral Fiber 2 feet x 4 feet panels) suspended ceiling system in the Building 145 Education Room (108) for an area of approximately 30 feet x 40 feet. b. The vestibule entranceway to Room 108, approximately 10 feet x 8 feet, has an existing suspended ceiling grid that will be reconfigured to new 2 feet x 4 feet USG 2310 ceiling panels, or approved equivalent, to match the new suspended ceiling in the Education Room. Background: The Education Room #108 is approximately 30 feet x 40 feet and presently has an old-style hard fiber board 1 feet x 1 feet suspended ceiling system in place. This old-style suspended ceiling will remain and will be abandoned in place. All appurtenances associated with this old- style suspended ceiling will be removed by VA personnel prior to the implementation of this work scope. This includes the removal of lights, vent covers/air handling ductwork, fire sprinkler heads, presentation screen, projector, and electrical boxes for reinstallation after the new suspended acoustical ceiling grid system is installed approximately 9 inches below the old one. The 10 feet x 8 feet vestibule entranceway to the Education Room has an existing suspended ceiling that has the same height as will the new suspended ceiling, approximately 9 feet 3 inches. The two ceilings will transition together across a wooden header. Please refer to the attached photographs for the existing conditions. Past performance requirement: The contractor must have at least three (3) years of documented experience with applicable certification for installing commercial grade acoustical suspended grid ceilings. Period of Performance: 30 calendar days from Notice to Proceed Organized Site Visit: The VA will not be conducting an organized site visit. Offerors or quoters can request an organized site visit by contacting the contracting specialist to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award.
