This Notice of Intent is for a proposed award of a sole source firm fixed price contract to the following contractor in support of the replacement of air compressors in support of Central Iowa VA Health Care System, 3600 30th St., Des Moines, IA 50310: SPS INDUSTRIAL INC SAM UEI: QQ7QZBZJNXT4 1121 SE Ocean Blvd Fl 2 Stuart, FL 34996-2517 This is done under authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-2: Unusual and compelling urgency. This is not a request for competitive quotes. Market research revealed that SPS INDUSTRIAL INC have been validated to be compatible with current equipment that is currently being utilized by Central Iowa VA Health Care System. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this service is 333912 (Air and Gas Compressor Manufacturing) and the Product Service Code (PSC) is 4310 (Compressors and Vacuum Pumps). While this synopsis does not constitute a solicitation, interested vendors may identify their interest and capability to satisfy the requirement, including documentation that such contractor could provide this service as an authorized reseller, authorized dealer or third party.
