BACKGROUND: THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE BEING RELEASED PURSUANT TO FEDERAL ACQUISITION REGULATION (FAR) PART 10: MARKET RESEARCH. OBJECTIVE: The objective of this notice is to conduct market research to determine if there are Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) or Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) or any other small business sources capable of providing Preventative and Corrective HVAC services for the VA Nebraska Western Iowa Health Care System for a potential set-aside. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE: The VA Nebraska Western Iowa Health Care System (NWI) requires contracted services to repair, replace and install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment. Equipment and materials installed shall be compatible in all respects with other items being furnished and with existing items so that the result will be a complete and fully operational system. Contractor shall install all equipment per the manufacturer s recommendations. All openings shall be sealed after the removal of equipment, piping, or other penetrations in the walls. All equipment shall be disassembled at existing location in the mechanical closets or rooms that they reside. Contractor shall confine the work to the immediate area and dispose of all piping, fittings, insulation, and hangers. Contractor is encouraged to attend a site visit at the Omaha VAMC to review existing equipment, models, and operating conditions. Site visit schedules will be provided during solicitation.
