BREAD AND BREAD PRODUCTS This is a sources sought notice only and is not a solicitation announcement. The purpose of this sources sought notice is to gain knowledge of qualified, potential contractors and their socio-economic size classification in accordance with NAICS code 311812 Commercial Bakeries. Responses will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After a review of the responses to this sources sought notice, a solicitation announcement may be posted. A response to this sources sought notice is not adequate, contractors must reply to a potentially forthcoming solicitation. The Central Iowa VA Health Care System, located at 3600 30th St. Des Moines, IA 50310, is seeking qualified potential contractors to provide bread and bread products. The bread products will be delivered two times per week and must be prepared in a facility that is compliant with all USDA regulations, standards, and guidelines. The types of bread which must be available are: sliced whole grain white bread, sliced whole wheat bread, sliced cinnamon raisin bread, sliced whole grain white hamburger buns, sliced whole grain white hot dog buns, and whole grain white dinner rolls. To respond to this sources sought notice, please complete the attached form titled Response Form to Sources Sought Notice and email the information requested to Chelsea Henize Himes, Contract Specialist, at Chelsea.henizehimes@va.gov. The closing date and time of this sources sought notice is August 24th, 2023 at 4:00 PM. This is not a solicitation and in no way obligates the government to award any contract. Additionally, a response to this sources sought notice is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of any forthcoming solicitation.
