This is a Sources Sought Notice to determine small business sources capable of providing on-site dry needle training instruction to VISN 23 personnel per this notice under NAICS 611430 (Professional and Management Development Training). BACKGROUND: THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE BEING RELEASED PURSUANT TO FEDERAL ACQUISITION REGULATION (FAR) PART 10: MARKET RESEARCH. This notice is issued solely for informational, market research, and planning purposes only. It does not constitute a solicitation or a promise to issue a solicitation in the future. This notice does not commit the Federal Government to contract for any service currently. OBJECTIVE: The objective of this notice is to conduct market research to determine if there are Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) or Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) sources capable of providing on-site dry needle training instruction to VISN 23 personnel. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE: VISN 23 Physical Therapists and Chiropractors require training to increase access to dry needling as a treatment for Veterans. Vendor shall provide on-site dry needle training instruction to VISN 23 Physical Therapists and Chiropractors. Training shall be no less than 16 hours and not more than 24 training hours. Education on how dry needling fits into a biophysical pain management plan. Upon completion of the training course practitioners must be competent to provide basic dry needling services in the clinic and receive certification of dry needling competency at the end of the basic course.
