This is a sources sought/proof of capability solicitation looking for Small Business vendors to perform the services per the SOW for market research purposes. No awards of a contract will be made from this announcement. If you are a vendor that can complete the work described in the SOW with competitive pricing, please send your information with a description of proof of capability to: Jeffrey.Brown8@va.gov on or before February 24th, 2023. *If applicable, FAR Provision 52.219-14 Limitations on Subcontracting, will apply to the potential solicitation if set-aside for Small-Businesses.* Statement of Work Employee Fitness Center Equipment Preventative Maintenance and Repair GENERAL The VA Black Hills Health Care System (VA BHHCS) is requesting the award of a full-service maintenance contract for the employee fitness center equipment. The primary purpose of employee fitness center equipment preventative maintenance and repair is to maintain optimal functioning and safety of the employee fitness center equipment. PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: The VA BHHCS services performed under this contract may be performed at Government facilities listed below. VA BHHCS-Fort Meade Campus 113 Comanche Road Fort Meade, South Dakota 57741 VA BHHHCS-Hot Springs Campus 500 North 5th St Hot Springs, South Dakota 57747 JUSTIFICATION The employee fitness center equipment to include Technogym, Nustep, Vision Fitness and Best Fitness brand equipment requires scheduled preventative maintenance and occasional repairs in accordance with the manufacturers instructions. REQUIREMENTS SUPPORT SERVICES: Provide technician for scheduled preventative maintenance per recommended schedule. REPAIR SERVICES: Provide diagnostics and quote for repair for any malfunctioning employee fitness center equipment prior to correcting any defects. Once customer gives permission to contractor to move forward with repairs, contractor will provide technician to correct defects in the employee fitness center equipment systems so they operate in accordance with the manufacturers specifications. Provide shipping of parts needed for approved repair or replacement of any tangible component of the employee fitness center equipment that malfunctions or wears out from use. Vendor will provide all parts required to maintain the equipment to manufacturer s specifications. Vendor will contact the VA Black Hills HCS POC, and make arrangements to be escorted at all times when on either station for all preventative maintenance and repair visits. All visits will be scheduled during regular business hours, Monday Friday, 8:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m., excluding federal holidays. Training, Security, and NARA Requirements: Training: All equipment technicians who will be on either station providing employee fitness center equipment preventative maintenance and repair shall complete required training via attached TMS 20939 document. Completed TMS 20939 documents will be provided to the contract VA Black Hills HCS POC. 6500.6 Appendix C Security and NARA PRIVACY-HIPAA CLAUSE: All equipment technicians who will be on either station providing employee fitness center equipment preventative maintenance and repair shall read and comply with attached 6500.6 Appendix C Security and NARA PRIVACY-HIPAA CLAUSE documents. No background checks apply to this contract. The C&A requirements do not apply, a Security Accreditation Package is not required.
