The Government has a requirement for Elevator Maintenance Services at the St. Cloud VAMC. The Government intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract with a one-year base period with options to extend the contract for up to four additional years. No proposals are being requested or accepted with this notice. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS OR PRICING AND NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS NOTICE. This notice shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Department of Veterans Affairs. Responses to this RFI will be treated only as information for the Government to consider as part of their market research efforts. The information provided will be used by the Government in developing its acquisition strategy regarding possible set aside for Veteran Owned and other socio-economic categories of small business. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary, restricted or competition sensitive information contained in their response. The Government does not intend to pay for the information submitted in response to this RFI and parties responding will not be entitled to payment for direct or indirect costs incurred in responding to this RFI. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 238290, Other Building Equipment Contractors - with a SBA Small Business Size Standard of $19.5 million. Your response must address capabilities specific to the services required in the below Description of Work, in addition to all other information required below. 1. Please identify any of your firm s existing contract vehicles (e.g., GSA federal supply schedules) which provide services similar to those described in the Description of Work. 2. Please provide all social-economic categories of your firm (e.g., SDVOSB, VOSB, WOSB, Large Business, 8a, etc.) as well as your firm s SAM Unique Entity ID number (replaces DUNS number) and Government Contract POC. Point of Contact: Mark Chase (TAG), Contract Specialist: mark.chase1@va.gov Description of Work VA Medical Center (VAMC) has a requirement for performance of preventative maintenance with 24-hour emergency maintenance support for 24 hydraulic and 2 traction type elevators located throughout the VAMC campus. The Contractor shall provide all tools, equipment, labor and materials to perform the required services. All equipment and materials shall conform to the American National Standard Code for Elevators, Dumbwaiters, Escalators, and Moving Walks, ANSI A17.1-1978 or the latest adopted edition of same, and the American Standard Practice for the Inspection of Elevators, Inspectors Manual, A1 1.2-1979 or the latest adopted edition of same. Personnel performing the required services shall be certified by the International Union of Elevator Constructors. Documentation of current certification(s) shall be provided upon request. Semi-annual 3rd party elevator inspections, Cat 1 and 5 testing (no-load and full-load) are performed under separate contract. The Contractor may be required to perform corrections or remedies arising from said inspections/testing.
