Page 1 of 1 The Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO 23, Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System Construction Contracting Product Line Team 2 is soliciting for a construction project for the Omaha VA in Omaha, Nebraska that shall include, but not be limited to, furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation and supervision including demolition and removal of existing element indicated for removal, to perform work associated with this project as required by the drawings and specifications. The Project 636-18-304, Construct Combined Energy Plant Phase 1 (Chiller Plant), Omaha, Nebraska requires the construction of a new chiller plant adjacent to the boiler plant on the east side of campus. The chiller plant will house two (2) centrifugal chillers and relocate the temporary chiller from the existing plant next to the new building. It will also be constructed to be expandable for future campus growth needs. Removal of an existing metal storage shed is required to accommodate this construction. The estimated construction cost is $10M and $20M. Deductive Bid Alternates are included. Solicitation Number 36C26318B0065 for this effort will be posted to FedBizOpps (www.fedbizopps.gov) on or about February 8, 2022. This solicitation will contain all necessary specifications, drawings and other information necessary to bid the project. An Organized site visit will be held, see solicitation for date and time. The date for request for proposal is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, March 8, 2022 (see solicitation when available for specific information.) The successful bidder will be required to provide a Performance Bond, Payment Bond, or Irrevocable Letter of Credit within 10 calendar days of award notification. The Period of Performance is 550 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
