The Fargo VA Laboratory requires a one-time delivery of one hematology slide stainer/cytocentrifuge which will be used to replace our current manual slide staining method. The current slide staining method is cumbersome, produces a large amount of hazardous waste, and reagents have become difficult to acquire. The purpose and use of this slide stainer are to stain both bone marrow, peripheral blood, and body fluid specimens, which are used for morphologic identification and enumeration of specific leukocyte and erythrocyte populations. This slide stainer/cytocentrifuge is essential to prepare diagnostic slides for pathology, as well as maintain hematology laboratory workflow and turn-around-times.
