This Notice of Intent is for a proposed award of a sole source contract (base, for period or performance of 02-4-2022 to 03-05-2022) to the following contractor for Rauland Responder 5 RRT/Code Blue Buttons and install at the Ambulatory Care Clinic Omaha VA, 4101 Woolworth Ave Omaha, NE 68105. ELECTRONIC SOUND, INC. 14627 INDUSTRIAL RD OMAHA, NE 68144-3229 DUNS: 035116300 This is done under authority of FAR Subpart 13.5 in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 1901. This is not a request for competitive quotes. Market research revealed that ELECTRONIC SOUND, INC. is the only authorized regional distributor that has proprietary rights over Rauland equipment and is the only authorized vendor for servicing Rauland equipment. ELECTRONIC SOUND, INC. is the only source capable of meeting this requirement and has proprietary rights to maintaining Rauland equipment. Rauland does not have any other authorized resellers, dealers, or distributors to maintain its proprietary equipment. Furthermore, service by a third party would invalidate any warranties or service agreements for Rauland proprietary equipment. The equipment is a highly specialized system that is proprietary to Rauland and only factory authorized representatives have authorization to maintain this equipment. This equipment is approved for sale by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for medical use and must be maintained with original equipment manufacturer parts by qualified service personnel, which can solely be provided by ELECTRONIC SOUND, INC. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this service is 238210 (Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors) and the Product Service Code (PSC) is J059 (Maintenance, Repair, and Rebuilding of Equipment- Electrical and Electronic Equipment Components). While this synopsis does not constitute a solicitation, interested vendors may identify their interest and capability to satisfy the requirement, including documentation from the proprietary rights holder Rauland, that such vendor could provide this service as an authorized dealer or third party.
