Presolicitation Notice Presolicitation Notice Page 3 of 3 Page 1 of 3 Page 2 of 2 Page 1 of 2 This Notice of Intent is provided to advise that the Government intends to solicit for a BNOE Absolu Ocular Ultrasound Platform as a SDVOSB set-aside for the Des Moines VA Health Care System to include the following: SOW- BNOE Quantel Absolu- BRAND NAME OR EQUAL VA-CIHCS is seeking a name brand or equal purchase of the Quantel Absolu Ophthalmic diagnostic and treatment equipment for the VA Health Care System, Des Moines IA. Salient Characteristics: Quantel Absolu Ultrasound Must perform the following diagnostic tests: Axial length measurement to determine IOL power (prior to cataract surgery) Tissue characterization to identify and differentiate tumors Evaluation of the Vitreous and Retina in Retinal detachment Vitreous Hemorrhage Determine the presence of foreign bodies Determine condition of the globe and orbit after trauma Diagnosing tumors Evaluate optic nerve Extra-ocular muscles and orbit Evaluation of anterior and posterior chamber IOL positioning Diagnosing tumors of the anterior segment Accommodative IOL behavior Angle analysis and Ciliary Body and Iris examination Must be able to high level disinfect probes without use of Cidex or EtO products. Must be self-contained and easily portable (wheeled cart, move from room to room). Must have electro-magnetically driven transducer. Must have position sensor to provide real time position of the probe on the eye. Must provide resolution from the anterior vitreous to retina. Must have choice of 15 MHz or new 20 MHz B-Scan probes. Must have wireless and Bluetooth connectivity. Must have an approved ERA and BAA in place with VA (provide agreement numbers to reference). Must provide clinical applications training.
