The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to gain knowledge of qualified potential contractors and their socioeconomic size classification in accordance with NAICS code 811310 Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance. Responses will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After a review of the responses to this Sources Sought notice, a solicitation announcement may be posted. A response to this Sources Sought notice is not an adequate reply to a potentially forthcoming solicitation. The Iowa City VA Health Care System located in Iowa City, IA is seeking qualified potential contractors to provide generator maintenance and testing services on the below equipment: 1. Make: CAT, Model: 3516, Description: 2.5 MW Generator, Location: Building 9, SN: SBK00798 2. Make: CAT, Model: 3512, Description: 1.5 MW Generator, Location: Building 7, SN: SBG00419 3. Make: CAT, Model: 3512, Description: 1.5 MW Generator, Location: Building 45, SN: SBG01280 Services shall be performed by a certified Caterpillar Service Agency, vendor must be able to provide documentation.
