Answers to inquiries: Clinics are not specified to be held on specific weeks or dates in then PWS. It is the intent of the Black Hills VA Health Care System that the clinics should be held in an evenly spaced manner across each month, but flexibility is allowed on how this is to be accomplished. Proposals should include coverage for clinics across the month, ensuring that there are clinics both during the first half of the month, and the latter half of the month, but no specific pattern is required in the submission. The more evenly spaced out the clinics are, the better, as a general principle. Clinics must also be spaced across each location mandated in the PWS. Dialysis will only take place at the Hot Springs location only. Regarding the timing, it is ok for clinics to be run back to back, the emphasis for the timing on the clinics is simply to ensure that all patients receive their dialysis rounds. On call services run from 6am-6pm, Monday through Saturday. This includes holidays. This PWS requires board certified nephrologist. Board eligible nephrologists are not sufficient to meet the PWS requirements. Anticipated hours for this requirement are approximately 81 hours a month. The PWS refers to Full Time Equivalency (FTE) as 1 FTE = 80 hours. This is correct and meant as a definition of what each unit of FTE entails. This definition does not mean that 80 hours are to be worked every two weeks. To provide time for vendors to make revisions as needed, this solicitation now will close at 5 PM on Friday, 20 November. Thank you.
