Contractor is responsible for all work to fulfill replacement of each coil, per circuit, for each condensing unit. Replacement coils are needed for the following condensing units; Building 9. Trane Model: RAUCC40GBG03DF Serial: J93A80331 Replace 1 Coil, R-22 Building 28 West. Trane Model: RAUCC60GBG03DF Serial: J93A80333 Replace 2 Coils, R-22 Building 28 East. Trane Model: RAUCC60GBG03DF Serial: J93A80332 Replace 1 Coil, R-22 Building 29 West. Trane Model: RAUCC50GBG03DF Serial: J93A80335 Replace 1 Coil, R-22 NOTE: An onsite visit is highly encouraged. Individual coils weigh between 450# to 650# each. It is imperative there is a complete understanding of the entire scope of work. General Information; Contractor is responsible for the shipping costs, logistics for all tools and equipment necessary. A VA St. Cloud Contractor badge shall be worn by all Contractor employees while on premises. Contractor badges are issued in B-3, second floor, Facilities Maintenance and Operations Office. Work shall be performed during normal business hours of 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday, excluding weekends and Federal Holidays, unless otherwise authorized by the site's POC. Performance The contractor shall provide the equipment, labor, tools, materials, operational testing and all associated costs for replacement of condensing coils. Contractor is responsible for all costs for transportation, lodging, meals and other personal necessities for its employees and subcontractors (as applicable). Contractor is responsible for purchasing, delivery, moving, handling and installation of the new and removed coils. Transferring and disposal of replaced coils is the responsibility of the contractor. Refrigerant reclamation and charging, any soldering/brazing, pressure testing, vacuum testing and to be done according to regulationsAre there any regulations specifically that we want to hold them to? If so we need to list them, or it will be hard to hold a contractor to this statement. . Compressor Oil Acid Testing is required per circuit/each. Test results to be recordedDo these results need to be delivered anywhere, or do they just need to have them if they are asked for them? . Contractor to perform nitrogen purge and vacuum testing of newly installed coils. The unit/circuit will be pulled into a vacuum of 500 microns for a minimum of 2 hrs. Vacuum testing level obtained shall be observed by the CORGenerally we do not nominate a COR for contracts written for predominately supply s. Contractor to document on appropriate formsIs there a specific for that the VA requires? the volume/Lbs. of refrigerant recovered per unit/circuit. Contractor is responsible for documenting the final refrigerant charge per unit/circuitDoes this need to be delivered anywhere? . An operational/performance evaluation will be conducted on each condensing unit, per circuit after repair is complete. The operational information is to be recorded on an individual spread sheet for each condensing unit, per circuit, and shall include: a. Refrigeration System Suction Pressure, Discharge Pressures and corresponding Temperatures. b. Compressor performance to include currant/amp draw when fully loaded and system staging. c. Air Handling Unit Cooling Coil supply air Delta T and discharge supply air temperature. d. Record the outside air temperature at the time of data gathering. A final performance check per condensing unit to be observed by a representative of the St Cloud VA HVAC/R Shop, CORPOC? or representative. This check shall consist of the AHU supply air Delta T, Condensing Unit circuit suction and discharge temperatures and pressures. Compliance. The recovery and disposal of used refrigerant is the responsibility of the contractor. A copy of the Refrigerant Disposal paperwork to be provided to the VA. The charging of new refrigerant to be provided by the contractor and to be recorded in accordance with EPA regulations. Work to be completed by a qualified HVAC Mechanic with a proper EPA certification. EPA Certification must be provided and is required. OSHA 10 Card is required by individuals performing the work.
