Page 2 of 2 ANNUAL TESTING AND CERTIFICATION OF FUME HOODS AND CLINICAL LABORATORY BIOLOGICAL SAFETY CABINETS This is a Sources Sought Notice and not a solicitation announcement. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to gain knowledge of qualified, potential contractors and their socio-economic size classification in accordance with NAICS code 541380, Testing Laboratories. Responses will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After a review of the responses to this Sources Sought Notice, a solicitation announcement may be posted. A response to this Sources Sought Notice is not an adequate reply to a potentially forthcoming solicitation. The Minneapolis MN VA Health Care System (VAHCS) located at One Veterans Drive, Minneapolis MN 55417 are seeking qualified potential contractors to provide Annual Testing and Certification of Fume Hoods and Clinical Laboratory Biological Safety Cabinets (BSCs). The work consists of Annual testing and certification of facility fume/canopy/slot hoods and Clinical Laboratory BSCs and repair of Clinical Laboratory BSCs including parts, labor, decontamination, retesting, and recertification. All on-site certifications for Biological Safety Cabinets (BSCs) shall be accomplished in accordance with the most current National Sanitation Foundation/American National Standards Institute (NSF/ANSI) Standard 49 Class II (laminar flow) Biosafety Cabinetry. Each fume/canopy/slot hood shall be certified to ANSI/ASHRAE 110 and ANSI/AIHA Z9.5 standards. Contract technicians shall be NSF Accredited Class II Biosafety Cabinet Field Certified. The closing date and time of this sources sought notice is December 13, 2019 at 10:00 AM Central Time. This is not a solicitation and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. Additionally, a response to this Sources Sought Notice is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of any forthcoming solicitation.
