General. 1. The contractor shall use HEPA barriers and safety precautions in line with the ICRA/PICRA developed in conjunction with the VA. 2. The contractor shall complete Green Environment Management System (GEMS) Waste Reporting Form and provide this form back to the VA Resident Engineer. 3. The contractor shall submit hazardous material testing to government entities in accordance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. 4. The contractor shall include any ncessarry notifications, permits, permit fees, and disposal costs and incidentals. 5. The contractor shall provide a visual clearance and provide follow-up results of the testing of the clean area at time of close-out during the final walkthrough with the VA. 6. This project shall be completed during normal business hours if approved by VA Engineering or during after-hours with 72 hours prior notice. The contractor shall obtain prior approval from the M&O Supervisor. 2. General Demolition. 1. The contractor shall provide all labor and materials to remove an estimated 15 square feet of plaster and brick to access the pipe insulation. 3. Asbestos Abatement. 1. The contractor shall abate an estimated 20 linear feet of asbestos pipe insulation in the pipe chase in the PT area. 4. The contractor shall provide hard and electronic copies of the modifications to the site. b. Schedule of Deliverables: 1. Period of Performance 14 days after award.
