THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Minneapolis VA Health Care System, Minneapolis, Minnesota, intends to award an emergency sole source contract to Metropolitan Mechanical Contractors, Eden Prairie, Minnesota. The emergency requirement will provide services to prepare the 3G Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) AHU (air handling unit) 45 and 3E AHU 22 for COVID-19 (Coronavirus). The required work will convert 3E AHU 22 and 3G/MICU AHU 45 to negative air pressure. NAICS code is 238220, Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors. A determination by the Government not to compete this emergency requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is Unusual and Compelling Urgency, FAR 6.302-2, 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(2), 41 U.S.C.3304(a)(2).
