The New Mexico VA Health Care System requires preventive maintenance and repair services for critical sterilizing and related reprocessing equipment, including all labor, travel, and OEM-approved parts. The contractor must use OEM-certified technicians, follow OEM procedures, verify equipment functionality, provide Field Service Reports and shipping labels, and check in with Biomedical Engineering before service. The supported inventory includes sterilizers, endoscope reprocessors, washer/disinfectors, ultrasound probe storage/soak stations, and a water purification unit. Payment will be made in arrears upon receipt of a properly prepared invoice, and the contract may add or remove covered equipment. Prior approval is required for noncontract charges, equipment replacement, or removal of hard drives from the station.
