This is a source sought synopsis only. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (hubzone, 8(a), small, small disadvantage, small veteran owned business or service disabled veteran owned small business) relative to NACIS 339114 (size standard of 1,000 employees). This is not a solicitation. Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published in the SAM.gov website. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this sources sought announcement. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office NCO22, is seeking sources for vendors to purchase a Primescan Dental Scanner for the VA San Diego Healthcare System. The anticipated award date shall be 7/19/24. If you are interested and are capable of providing the required services please provide the requested information as indicated below. Response to this notice should include company name, address, point of contact, size of business pursuant to the following questions: (1) Is your business small (2) If small, does your firm qualify as a small, emerging business, or small disadvantaged business? (3) If disadvantaged, specify under which disadvantaged group and if your firm is certified under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act? (4) Is your firm a certified Hubzone firm? (5) Is your firm a woman-owned or operated business? (6) Is your firm a certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, (7) Is your firm a Veteran Owned Small Business? Small businesses considering participation in this potential solicitation process under any Small Business Set-aside procedure must do so in a manner consistent with the requirements of the Small Business Act. Responses to this notice shall be e-mailed to Hanan.McCullick@va.gov. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received in writing no later than 4:00 p.m. 7/3/24. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses to this sources sought is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. SCHEDULE OF SUPPLIES: SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS: 1. Must allow use of sanitation/disinfection items such as disposable sleeves and disinfection wipes: Approved, disinfection wipes & disposable sleeves are optimal for primescan 2. Must be portable: approved: this is a mobile cart with a battery and wheels to take it between rooms with ease. 3. Must be upgradeable to Primescan AC with Design Software: Confirmed, this unit can be upgraded to include the full Cerec Design software for in office milling of restorations. 4. Must include 1 Year Warranty and Connect Case Center. Confirmed 1 year warranty, connect case center has been replaced with DS Core. Functionality remains the same, just an upgraded portal 5. Must provide in-office training for the end-users: confirmed, Henry Schein provides in-office training for the end-users. 6. Screen Size: 21.5in medical grade touchscreen. 7. Computer Speed: Windows 10 64Bit. 32GB RAM, intel570 8GB graphics card, 2TB SSID, intel i5 core processor 9600. 8. Connection Options: Wifi (preferred), USB, hardwired network cable. 9. Clarity of the images: 10 Bit Quality with 2-3 Trillion shades of color. So the clarity is great. 10. Application of the scanner: in the scan only version, the application is scanning for anything requiring an impression, ie. Crown, bridge, implant, veneer, nightguard, splint, appliance, etc.
