The VA San Diego Healthcare System San Diego (VASDHS) has an urgent requirement for a contractor to provide wheelchair and hired car services to Veteran patients of the main VA San Diego Health Care System (VASDHCS) Medical Center and its participating Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs), twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week, including holidays as requested by the Government. The requirement also includes Ad Hoc medical companion escort services for pre and post ambulatory procedures for Veterans. The medical companion escort must remain on the premises in the 3S Special Procedure waiting area until the veteran is released. This service is for Veterans who have no social support available. The hours for this service are 4:00 am thru 10:00 pm, excluding holidays as listed by the Government.
