The VA Loma Linda Health Care System requires a qualified diagnostic medical physicist or qualified nuclear medical physicist, supervision, travel, materials, parts, software, equipment, tools, control and disposal of hazardous/nonhazardous licensed material, training, proof of licensing, documentation and reports of required services, maintenance of equipment, calibration instruments, survey instruments, methods of controlling radiation, source handling equipment, documentation of case history, remote handling tools, and permits when required to perform all services for diagnostic radiation safety survey and imaging service to maintain compliance with all state and Federal regulations. In addition, the diagnostic medical physicist or nuclear medical physicist will serve as the VALLHCS statutory Radioactive Material Licensed Radiation Safety Officer (RSO).
