Page 6 of 6 Page 1 of 6 Sources Sought Synopsis Only The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (hubzone, 8(a), small, small disadvantage, veteran owned small business (VOSB), service disabled veteran owned small business (SDVOSB), or large business) relative to NAICS 236220 with size standards of $39.5 Million Dollars. Note that if VA s pending market research establishes that two or more VOSB or SDVOSB, who are certified in VA s Vendor Information Pages (VIP) site https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/, can perform the project, VA will set aside the underlying solicitation per 38 U.S.C. §8127. Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published on SAM, and/or GSA eBuy. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. General Requirements: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VA Long Beach Healthcare System (VALBHS), has a requirement for Artwork/Hidden Headwall, Right/Left Slide, Swivel Outlets. Specific Requirements: The Contractor must provide Hospital Systems Inc, Headwall Equipment or Equivalent. Artwork Hidden Headwalls, which must contain the capabilities and specifications listed in the salient characteristics below. Brand Name Hospital Systems, Inc: Headwall Equipment or Equivalent ( Swivel Outlets, Vacuum Bottle Slide, Flow Meters, Vacuum Regulators ) Accepts most types of artwork to complement room decor. Concealed electrical and medical gas outlets. Service access covers can be quickly removed for easy maintenance. The 3 steel frame is coated and designed to be compatible with the standard 3.6 framing studs. Oxygen flowmeter. Pre-wired and pre-piped for single point connection. Flowmeters and Regulators are included to ensure door closure. Two heavy duty positive stops (located at the bottom of the slide to position the bottle holder). Overall dimensions of the slide are 2 wide by 4.25 high by 0.6 thick. The slide will accommodate bottle holders up to 1.8 wide by 0.3 thick. Oxygen, air and vacuum regulators should be swivel type. Scope: The Artwork Hidden Headwalls will provide a less clinical atmosphere to medical rooms, while providing the medical personnel with quick and easy access to the electrical and medical gas service. Installation: In Addition to purchasing the Artwork Hidden Headwalls, the contractor shall provide the following 3 steps for this installation: Install the door hardware that will support the door and allow the door to slide into the open and closed position. Install the artwork hardware to receive the artwork being hung/installed on the door. Hang the picture (artwork) on the door that will slide open and closed on the hardware Period of Performance: The intended contract period will be for 2 months, which may begin approximately on Oct 1, 2022.
